Q: ARE THERE ANY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR MY WASTE OIL?
A: The waste veggie oil needs to be strained
with cheese cloth or some method to get out the big pcs before running through the Centrifuge
Q: CAN I PROCESS ANIMAL FAT(LARD) OR LARD MIXTURES WITH THIS?
A: NOT Recommended! Animal fat or LARD will solidify
at room temperature and make impossible to process.
Q: HOW FAST WILL IT PROCESS MY WASTE VEGETABLE OIL?
A: Processing rate is 5 to 20 gallons per hour depending on your needs.
Q: HOW DOES THE OIL GET OUT OF THE CENTRIFUGE?
A: The centrifuge has two ports on the bottom of the housing.
One is labeled "CLEAN OIL OUT" and the
other is labeled "DIRTY OIL OUT".
Q: YOU SAY THAT IT PROCESSES 5 GPH, BUT I ALSO SEE A REFERENCE FOR 20 GPH.. What'S UP?
A: Depending on the
clarity of product you need. We recommend 5GPH for automotive use, but you
could process more,
faster, if you were going to use it in a different application.
Q: WHAT
IS THE FORCE APPLIED WHEN PROCESSING?
A: Clarifies the oil at 1200 X`s the force of gravity
Q: WHAT OTHER APPLICATIONS CAN THIS BE USED IN?
A: Great for making fuel for oil burning
heaters, cleaning up hydraulic and motor oils.
Q: YOU DON'T HAPPEN TO KNOW
THE APPROXIMATE $ CONSUMPTION FOR ELECTRICITY?
A: Appx. electricity cost is less than .01 cents per gallon of
oil produced @ .16 kwh
Q: DO I NEED TO PRE HEAT MY WVO BEFORE I CENTRIFUGE IT?
A: Yes, an inline heater is
a good idea.
Q: CAN I RUN STRAIGHT WVO IN MY DIESEL ENGINE?
A: It is possible with a heated fuel filter
and a two tank system, meaning, you start (and shut down) the engine on regular diesel. When the engine gets to operationg
temperature you switch to straight VO. You may have to update some fuel lines and seals on older models. Check with your machanic
on this.
Q: WHERE DO YOU PUT THE OIL IN THE CENTRIFUGE?
A: There is a NPT port on the side
of the housing labeled "OIL IN"
for continuious flow.
Q: IS IT HARD TO CLEAN THE BOWL?
A: Cleaning the bowl takes about ten minuets. Remove the lid, raise up the inlet spout, remove the hex nut and lift out
the bowl.
Q: WHAT IF I HAVE ALOT OF WATER IN MY OIL?
A: It would be a good idea to let the water
settle and drain it off before processing.
Q: WHAT MICRON WILL THE MODEL 12XG SEPARATE TO?
A: You should be able to achieve one micron
at five GPH with heated oil.
Q; IS THERE ANY WARRANTY?
A: Yes, There is 90
days on materials and workmanship and 1 year on the motor.
